Privacy policy for robestreet.com

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit robestreet.com or buy from us, what we do with it, and what rights you have. We handle your data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE

WHAT WE COLLECT

Device information. When you visit the site we automatically collect information about your browser, your IP address, your time zone and the cookies installed on your device. We also record which pages and products you view, which website or search term brought you here, and how you move around the site.

Order information. When you buy something we collect your name, billing address, delivery address, payment details, email address and phone number. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.

Anything you send us. If you email us or use the contact form, we keep what you wrote so we can answer and so we have a record of the exchange.

WHY WE ARE ALLOWED TO USE IT

• Performance of a contract — to take your order, take payment, arrange delivery, and handle returns.
• Legal obligation — to keep accounting and tax records.
• Legitimate interests — to prevent fraud, to keep the site secure, and to improve what we sell and how we sell it, weighed against your privacy.
• Consent — for the newsletter and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share your data only with the suppliers who make the shop work, and only with what they need:

• Shopify, which hosts the shop — privacy policy;
• our payment providers, to take payment and check for fraud;
• Royal Mail and our warehouse, to deliver your parcel;
• Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used — privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google opt-out add-on.

We never sell your personal data.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE UK

Some of these suppliers, and we ourselves, are established outside the United Kingdom. Where data leaves the UK it is protected by the UK's adequacy decisions or by the International Data Transfer Agreement, so your rights travel with it.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Anything else is deleted once the reason we collected it has passed.

We may use your data to show you advertising likely to interest you. You can opt out here:

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to help@robestreet.com. We answer within one month and we do not charge.

DO NOT TRACK

Our site does not change how it collects data in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal, because there is no agreed standard for what that signal means.

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. The date below tells you when it last changed.
